I have cast on 60 stitches and divided them among 4 DPN. The working yarn is coming from the needle in my right hand and I am about to join for a circle. Which is needle one? Two...? I will need to know this later in my pattern.

Thanks,
Candice

Needle one is the needle in your left hand--the first one you will be knitting from. It is followed by 2, 3, and 4 going clockwise.
