I just realized that it has been quite some time since I posted a FO here(lack of time+study kept me busy), so I thought I'll just post my latest one(for others check my blog ;) ).
It's a sweater I call the "Test"-sweater. As the name indicates I knitted it as a test for another sweater out of some Hipknits silk. But since the silk is not cheap and doesn't like to be frogged many times I decided to knit this "test"-sweater. Oh, it's my own pattern btw. ;)
The yarn used is "Linie 12 Clip" from Online, a cotton yarn in a color between pink and orange(depending on light). It's a sweater knit from the top down with an easy lace pattern.
As I already promised on my blog, I'll write down the pattern after knitting the silk version and post it.

Wow! You're so clever! I love the look of the lacey pattern at the bottom - hope the silk one turns out just perfect again like this one - I admire your restraint, knitting a practice project first!

Thanks you all for your nice comments! The sweater is now lightly blocked and I took another pic where you can see the lace pattern a bit better(please ignore the bra  ):

It's really beautiful!! I know what you mean about the cost of silk!! I want to knit a short sleeved top and the pattern called for Rowan Calmer--which is almost 12 bucks for 1 ball!! I needed 4 at least, and I can't pay that!! Is this Online Linie a cotton blend? And may I ask, about how much did you have to spend on the yarn?? If it's too personal--please just ignore!! ;)

The Online yarn is 100% cotton. I got it from a super sale for 1 per 100g skein(compare (http://www.fuzzymabel.com/yarn/online/ol_12.shtml)) and the sweater only used 3 skeins.
The silk I'm knitting with now is from here (http://www.hipknits.co.uk/) and costs 7GBP per 100g. Probably one of the most expensive yarns I ever brought (apart from Rowan Kidsilk Haze), but sooooooooo soft!

Awesome  sweater! :notworthy: I bow to your talent and genius! I tried to make up a pattern for a tank top 'cuz I couldn't find anything quite right for the yarn I wanted to use and the concept I had in my head. Let's just say I didn't post a pic of the FO...

I am so in    with your sweater! Are you going to do a pattern for it? I was thinking maybe I could sell it on my store??? Let me know if you're interested and we could work out some kind of deal. If you don't want to sell it, you really should submit it somewhere like magknits or knitty...I think it would be perfect for either one of those.

Thanks for the interest Kemp! I'll have to think about it a bit more, but will let you know.

I have finished the silk sweater now and wrote a draft of the pattern. Don't expect a pic too soon though, cause I've got a bunch of stuff to do for university :(

I've made some pics of the silk sweater see here (http://orangmerajut.blogspot.com/2006/05/managing-time-and-wasting-it.html)!
The pattern is still not finished, math test(friday) and presentation(monday) go first :(

I finally managed to write the pattern :cheering:
This is the first day in weeks that I got the time and mind to work through my messy notes about this project. Maybe in the future I should take more time making notes as I knit

Anyway, I posted it on my blog:
HSLS (http://orangmerajut.blogspot.com/2006/05/hsls-pattern.html)
Yes, it has a name now! HSLS=HelloSunshineLaceSweater!
I decided to offer it for free since I had promised that before. I don't think places like Knitty would have taken it, because I already posted pics of it.

If you find any typos or think any instructions are unclear, please tell me!
And should you decide to knit it, let me know!

I have a question ... The pattern says to "increase every second row," and I am a little confused by this phrase. Does this mean to increase every other row, or does this mean there is an increase every three rows? Thanks for your help! I really love the style of this sweater, Javede!

Those sweaters are absolutely gorgeous! They are definitely on my to do list! I love knitting with cotton, so I'll probably do the cotton version first.
