I am having some serious dilemma trying to figure out the gauge of Shimmer by Coats & Clark. On their website, coatsandclark.com, it is listed as a fine sport weight yarn, however, on other sites where it is sold, the gauge given looks more like a dk weight yarn. Can anyone who has maybe more expertise than me, or anyone who has actually used this yarn tell me what the actual gauge is?

I really would like to substitute it with something from elann.com or knitpicks.com, but can't until I know the gauge.

I haven't used it, but I've seen it at work. I would probably call it a DK/sport or a light worsted. It's reminds me of looking at a shoelace with the way it's woven rather than spun.
