Actually, the duck thing happens more often than you think. If you see a mama duck having a hissy near a storm sewer grate, call animal control, if they can get the babies out without touching them, the mama will still accept them. Don't pick up a baby duck! We had this happen near our house in Rochester TWICE one summer. :doh:
