I was impressed with this pattern because it was so fast! I made this for a good friend, but I like it so much I may have to make one just the same for me! The only thing I don't like is that there's a wrong side- but oh well.

:D Looks great...I love this pattern
To rid yourself of the wrong side you can just knit it in the round ;)

Hello Squishy! I really like that pattern! I saw something like it last night while watching a knitting DVD last night. Something like a Fisherman's stitch?

I'm not sure what a fisherman's stitch is... this is basically just some knit and purl stitches and then some cabling of the knit stitches. pattern is here:

Great job on that scarf!! LOVE the color.
I'm working on this right now in Paton's Merino Blend and I found a really cool site that shows you how to do the Right Leaning Cables in this scarf with NO cable needle (and no dpn) - a great feature because that's less notions to travel with.
This site is HERE (http://wendyknits.net/knit/cablelesson.htm).

Great job! Everytime I see this pattern done it convinces me more and more that I have to make one! I love the color you chose!

Love that color! What yarn are you using?
05-30-2006, 04:36 PM
the yarn is a cheapie one from Hobby Lobby- Red Heart super saver. The color is light thyme. It's not the greatest feeling yarn- not very soft, but I still like the way it turned out.
