Credit to this site. You made this possible that I finally completed my project #1 and 3/4 way done with project #2 !

#1 - socks: made from Silver's tutorial !

#2 - scarf
Here (http://www.knitty.com/issuewinter03/patttoddle.html) is the pattern; the pattern says to use 1 ball but I think they meant 2 balls because when using up 1 ball, the scarf is half way done. I bought the yarn they recommanded and the color is 207 (navy).

I finally got the photos showing

The socks are beautiful - I'm awed that you chose socks as your first project! I also love that scarf - the color and pattern are stunning!!!

Sarah might have copied and pasted the link to the browser address...
I had the same problem last time posting my "cone hat" but someone fixed. I don't know what to do to fix :??

Yes, that is what she did, I just did that too. You just copy the link between the [img], open up a new browser window and paste into that. I don't know how to fix it so you can see them in the post though. Beautiful scarf--love the color--do tell what yarn used and where you got the pattern please!

I also want to try socks as my first project, with all the cool colored yarns out there!

You need to link to the image - not the page. The URL for the image for the socks is:

http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/users/43d63f48zad6f3999/a06fre2/__sr_/9160re2.jpg?phgcbiEBUfPFOTXp

So that would be

http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/users/43d63f48zad6f3999/a06fre2/__sr_/9160re2.jpg?phgcbiEBUfPFOTXp

And the other is:

http://us.a2.yahoofs.com/users/43d63f48zad6f3999/a06fre2/__sr_/51e7re2.jpg?phgcbiEBvaRAGNvT

ROFL that didn't work either - perhaps Yahoo doesn't allow direct linking. Just upload them into the post here - use the attach button below the text box to load them in =D

 I did copy and paste

Here is picture 1 (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/seelingk/detail?.dir=/a06fre2&.dnm=51e7re2.jpg&.src=ph)

Here is picture 2 (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/seelingk/detail?.dir=/a06fre2&.dnm=51e7re2.jpg&.src=ph)

I can't figure out why the [IMG] isn't working - I can't get it to work either! I wonder if it has something to do with yahoo??? Anyone?

The color is actually tricky with the Sony IS2S digicam. Maybe that's why all my ebay items sold a better prices than they deserved ;)

Is one ball meant for a baby size perhaps? :??

I am making a babysize, the exactly same size the pattern is written for.

My very first work was done in a knitting class of 4 sessions: a cable hat (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/seelingk/detail?.dir=891bre2&.dnm=97e3re2.jpg&.src=ph)
If I claimed that was my project, then the socks will be my 2nd project

I was teasing you know! I didn't try socks for quite some time.
Haven't done cables yet either..... soon though.
Are you in the city btw? I'm in Manhattan and also upstate.

Victoise: Really?! Do you work in the city and live upstate or you have two homes? What county upstate? I live in Queens.
Have you been to the knitting cafe downtown? My friend goes there a lot but I havn't been to.

Hi sk! Sorry I didn't reply sooner... I've been knitting a lot and this and that, not on computer too much. Yeah, I have a place in the city and upstate.
Delaware County about 3 hours away. We go to queens to eat a lot!
No, I don't go to the knitting cafe, do you mean on 14th Street? I don't like them much. There is a new place that's sweet, The Point, that has coffee and deserts etc. I was there on Sat. They always have some goodyarn on sale in the baskets, I got a bunch 50% off. Do you visit the yarn shops on the Upper west side ever? Knitty City is new.... and The Yarn Company is having their annual sale right now also. Oh boy, it's heating up in here again, have to get that air conditioner on. yuk!
