Hi all,

I'm trying to do this (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11738&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) scarf and hat knitting 1st row: K1, P1 all through, 2nd row: knit all through and the 3rd row (opposite from the 1st): P1, K1.

Is that right? It's not coming out like the pattern above. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Tamar

Hi Tamar!

The way I'm reading this is:
Across an even number of stitches,
Row 1: *k1, p1* repeat to end
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: *k1, p1* repeat to end
Row 4: Knit

So basically, 1x1 ribbing on the RS rows, knit on WS.

Make sense?

Thanks,
That's what I did the first time but it looked different to the pattern above so I thought that I had it wrong.

I've started knitting the hat and it's looking very pretty so far.

That happens to me all the time. I just try to hear Ingrid's voice in my head, telling me to trust the pattern, and usually within a few rows things start to look better.

Good luck!
