I just took a ton of pictures, and gave my humble opinion on the Knitpicks Options set.

I'm going to go test drive them now, since I only got them an hour ago. :happydance:

There's no comparison pic of Addis/Options needle point as you mentioned in your blog. The rest is cool though and I'm looking forward to hearing more!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

That's what DH just heard from me. When he asked what happened, I had to tell him that unfortunately the new Knitpicks needle set was a must have. He laughed, asked me how much they were and then promptly said that was nothing!! aha! Do I see myself ordering a set and some size 0-3s? hmmmm..... The problem is that I already have a set of Denises, but still...

They're backordered :crying:

I got my size 1 & 2 circs today and promptly got online to order the set, plus the 0 & 3 circs, and got a message that it'll be 7-14 days before they get more of the sets in and some of the smaller circs, too. So I placed the order, but that means a couple weeks before I get them. :(

Here's a good photo of the comparison of addis/options needle tips. I saw it on Knitter's Review in the forum.

So have you used them yet?! I'm dying to know how they feel/work/etc. when you knit with them. This might be the set for me!

Yep! I used them on some lace alpaca (which I had to rip out cause I screwed up the lace!), some acrylic for charity knitting, and of course, some wool. All of them went fast and smooth. I would feel the yarn hesitate at the join on occasion, but not for more than a millisecond before it slid over.

I think that they may actually be slicker than addi's, and the pointy tip definitely provide alot more control, especially on the lighter weight yarns.

I am so glad the kids are going to VBS today, because I am just going to knit for 3 solid hours.

I'm looking forward to someone else getting theirs so I am not feeling like a crazy person with the raving.

Oh cool! Now I have to buy a set! That's okay. I was going to order some yarn anyway!

On a side note, your avatar (Dr. House) just cracks me up every time I see it!

so next to zero snaggage on the join (not like denise?)

I just got my first ever Addi Turbo (premium) needle in the post today gonna do the neck of bombshell with that and see how it feels.
