This is my most recently finished object... and one of my most ambitious projects so far. I love, love, loved knitting this... even with all the challenges. If you're up to it, I highly recommend Dale of Norway projects!! :)

You do beautiful work! Which yarn did you use? It's really lovely.

I have 2 Dale of Norway Patterns I purchased to do as soon as I get time to tackle something that takes a bit of concentration. I keep watching for a sale on the yarn I want.

Thank you THANK YOU everyone! Yes, I knit this for ME ME ME. Of course, I live in Florida, so I'll be lucky if I can wear this 3 weeks out of the year... but I'll look good in those three weeks, dammit. LOL I have a fair bit of yarn left over, so I'm knitting a matching scarf too.

That's gorgeous!!! I love your choice of colors!!

What yarn did you use? I don't think I'd be up to putting in the zipper. I see you got the patch for it too!
Thanks Ingrid. I used Dale's Heilo. I knew from the start that if I was gonna put all the time and effort into this, I'd have to do it true to form. With Dale yarn, the patch and all. The zipper is a Dale zipper too. Putting it in was easier than I thought it would be. The secret to getting perfect placement is to baste the plackets together first, then sew in the zipper.

I don't care how hot it gets, I'd be rocking that sucker all day, every day! Hike up the AC! ;)

Silver, the back of the zipper looks like knit fabric?? Is it just my old eyes? I just went through zipper hell and ended up doing what you said about basting the opening closed. Better, but not as good as yours!

And your sweater is, as everyone has already used every adjective out there, wonderful.

I wondered where you'd been, Kristen!! Missed you around here--did you have a vacation or something?? And if so--did you knit that lovly little LOVELY while you were away from home?? I can't even keep up with a sock when I'm away from home, much less all that work!! It truly is classy and lovely--just like you! I hope you just turn the AC up so you can sit in it for awhile before the fall come! ;)
