I didn't realize that knit picks had interchangable needles now! I must have been living under a rock! Are their tips and cables interchangable with boye? They look similar, and I recently broke my size 10 tips and one of my cables. (it was the cat who sat on them, I swear).

Andrea

Sadly, they are not interchangeable with the Boyes. :(

I like that Swish!!! Now I wish I hadn't bought that Encore at the get together!!! :(

LOL, well, I just placed an order with Knitpicks and didn't even get any new yarn  well, I got 1 skein of Swish to swatch and play with. I had already decided what I was getting...Shine for Bombshell and Merino Style for Cherry Bomb.....and I didn't even deter from that which I had intended to get

SWISH :cheering:

I'm so happy they have a washable wool!! I've been meaning to make an afghan for some friends who got married but have been agonizing about what to use that won't break my (hedge)hoggy bank!

I hope it's soft!

their prices for their yarn are already pretty low. i don't think you are going to see them TOOOO Much lower than what they already are. Even when they clearanced some of their sock yarns it didn't go down too much because there just isn't to far for them to go down.

hh how is the DNA scarf look/feel on the KP elegance?

I love it... It has a great sheen, it shows the pattern well and it's lovely and soft. I'm using it in oatmeal and it's very pretty. The only drawback is that the scarf is a little narrower than i would have liked since Elegance is DK weight (which is what the pattern calls for), so if i were to use it again i think i'd extend out the border pattern or the area around the cables a bit to widen the scarf overall.

btw, i think KP's Quarry "Ubatuba" is my favorite yarn name of all time!! :roflhard:

thanks and ubatuba is funny sounding. i wonder if it means something? my OS is ubuntu which translates from several african languages to mean "humanity to others" but my husband calls it "the wifes alternative to debian" hes a geek. im only geeky about art and music. the various linux incarnations have frustrated me to no end. ubuntu is friendly though.

i have a tendency to run at the mouth.

I'm bummed that the WOTA Bulky doesn't come in a natural color...I've been hunting for an affordable natural-colored bulky yarn (for a large aran project) for a few months...the yardage and price are fantastic, but no light colors even. :crying:

I'm REALLY excited about the Swish Superwash. It's more expensive than my Wool-Ease, but it's also 100 percent wool! And it's WAAAY cheaper than any other superwash for a comparable yardage that I've seen.

OMG Becca, that stuff sounds fantastic. Washable and soft and 100% wool? ....Sounds like perfect baby-item yarn!

Hey, just a reminder folks, if y'all click on the Knitpicks ad that appears here in the forum, before you order, I'll get a percentage of your order to support this site. No need to empty your cart if you've already stocked it; I think if you click on the ad before completing the purchase, it will work--just make the purchase within 7 days of the last ad-click. This is how they pay for their ad spot here on KH, by giving me a kickback from orders from people who come from this site. ;)

Enjoy, Becca, the yarn looks great! :inlove:

Gaaaah, all of those yarns look yummy... I still consider myself a newb knitter, and I haven't started loveloveloving yarn the way most here do, but its catching up with me! I didnt think that if I went to knitpicks I'd want all of the yarn.... but I did. That can't be a bad thing, right?

Oh and Becca, what color green is that? Its so pretty! My friend would love a scarf in that color.

I ordered four different colored balls of Swish last week to check out the colors. I'm planning to use it for a striped cardigan and they don't seem to have a color card yet. I'm getting light coral (which I was hoping would be less pink than it seems from Rebecca's picture, so I guess it's out), truffle, aloe, and whatever the gray is.
The package tracking thing says it should be here tomorrow. :cheering:
I haven't decided what I'm going to do with the colors I'm not using for the sweater. Maybe it'll be enough to make some more Knucks?

Yeah, we have been chatting (http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15422) about the new yarns since I spotted the 1st new ones ;)
Thus far I've only ordered a skein of Swish, the superwash wool for swatching and torture to see how it holds up...I will say that it is rather soft and I'm happy about it, but I've not yet gotten the chance to work on the swatch.

harrrrrrrrrrumph!

that's okay....i decided that if i was going to make an afghan for my friends i would have to use a natural color and swish doesn't have one that will work very well.

i put something else in my basket instead....merino style i think?

can't decide if it would make a good afghan if i double stranded it, but it seems like it would! ;)
