Also try the baby sock, it has all the components of an adult sock, just not as many stitches needed to accomplish it, plus all of Amy's helpful videos along the way! Try it in worsted, it will go so quickly, and if you don't have anyone to give it to, use it as a Christmas tree ornament. ;)

:D I love you people. And those baby socks are perfect. I know someone that just gave birth two months ago.

What about mitten gussets? Same? :??

Can i do that baby sock magic loop?

And because knitting's coming back 'in', there are knitting needles in the dollar stores. But they bend easily, so...er... don't sit on them like i did. And there are crochet hooks, (whether they bend or not i do not know, because i did not buy them. But they had a grip so i suspect even if you just peel off the grip it would be worth the buck.) and really big eyed needles. :D
