It could be the fact that i have NEVER made anything i could have worn, but i have no clue how to do this. Could someone (PLEASE) translate well, basically, from thumb gusset on? Do i just work in the order the pattern gives me, or do i alter it a bit? Are you SUPPOSED to work it in the order the pattern gives you?!

Break yarn, leaving an 8 inches [20.5 cm] tail. Using large-eyed, blunt needle, thread tail through remaining sts; pull tightly and secure. Do not trim tail.

You work it in the order given. The titles of the section are mainly to tell you what you're doing on the mitten at that point, so you can see that it's working ok, I guess.

Does this mean i finish the knit row then complete the rest of the instructions or do the purl row then complete the instructions?

Break yarn, leaving a 24 inches [61 cm] tail. Using large-eyed, blunt needle, thread tail though remaining sts; pull tightly and secure. Do not trim tail.

If you are using more than one colour then the yarns may be labelled 'A' and 'B' and so on.

Your instructions may tell you to CO 20, for example, in yarn 'A' and work so many rows before joining yarn 'B'.

There's only one yarn..... :??

But i think that the yarn i cut is to be used for seaming. So 'a' is my yarn from the ball?
