I made some slipper socks for my son this past week, and they turned out way too small for him. (I used the medium size...go figure!)

So, I gave them to Marvin's daughter Katie when she came to visit.

I used two strands of Caron Simply Soft in Dark Country Blue.

Those are great! Glad you had someone else to give them to! I love Caron Simply Soft for the reason that it really is sooo soft. I used it for a baby sweater last month. Love the blue color!!

It took a while, but I FINALLY found the pattern I used. I don't know why I didn't save it to my favorites on the computer. Silly me!

The best pattern for a beginner is online, and was created by one of our own forum members! :sunny:

Thanks for the link!

I've printed off the pattern, but still looks complicated to me. I'll give it a whirl though..maybe surprise myself!

Exactly. It looks hard until you have the yarn and needles in your hand. THEN, you understand all the instruction.

Like Ingrid always says, "Trust the pattern".

Go ahead...give it a try. You'll learn SO much, and it really is easy. Trust me.

I just finished another pair of slipper socks. I thought these would go to my son, but my husband has claimed them!

Maybe next time, I should hide the ones I finish! :teehee:

This pair was made with one strand of Caron Simply Soft in Dark Country Blue, and one strand of TLC Amore in Lake Blue.

Thanks! Tonight, my hubby came walking into my craft room, and said, "Look!" He was wearing the slipper socks, and had the cutest smile on his face.

Those look great! My mom complains about having cold feet all the time; I might make her (and me!) a pair.

Very nice. :)

Thanks my friends! :aww:

My hubby has been wearing his slipper socks all the time. Today, he said, "The only problem with these slippers is that they slip off too easily." I looked at his feet, and one of the socks was gone. :teehee:

Of course, he's been wearing them for the past 4 days without putting them in the hamper, so they've been stretched out of shape a bit. They'll probably be nice and tight again after they are washed.

OK, so what size feet do you have? If you butter me up real good, I'll make you a pair!

My sweet hubby gave me the GREATEST compliment a knitter could ever want. He said, "You know those slipper socks you made me? Could you make 6 more pairs so I'll have some for every night of the week?"

:happydance: Awwwwwww That is so sweet!

I finished a pair of these over the weekend and started 2 more pair as gifts. xxx Will post pics later this week.

I want a pair for myself now, but I'm always wearing my clogs at home. If I wore both at the same time I'd probably pass out from the heat. But I'd be smilin'!! :teehee:

Isn't it nice to knit something that is so appreciated? I make my mom slipper socks and she wears them out so I know she uses them a lot!
