The pattern states:

k1, m1, knit to last st, m1, k1

how do I m1, k1 if I've knitted to the last stitch? Do they mean to knit to the last, with exception to the m1, k1? I KNOW that this shouldn't stump me, but wth? :??

knit until there is one stitch left on your needle. make a stitch. stitch the last stitch.

Knit the first stitch, make 1, knit til you've one stitch left on your left needle, make 1, knit the last stitch.
