I used size 8 needles with plymouth encore yarn.

How do you put all the pieces together?? What seaming method is used?

The pattern is from the book Knitting in the round and as far as the seaming method it doesn't say I guess I have to decide :?? any suggestions?

I'd probably try edge to edge (http://www.knitting.co.nz/site/page_affix/toaffix_learntoknit13/) seaming to avoid a ridge on the back.
