I'm currently working on making a mitered square blanket. The pattern I'm using is garter stitch, and I'm very pleased with it, but I've found a photo of a blanket with much smaller squares, and I can't seem to wrap my mind around how to do this. I'm posting the pic below. I can't remember where I found this, as I've had it in my pic's forever.
I can't tell if it's simply smaller mitered squares, or diamond patterns that are stitched together.
Any help would be appreciated!

It looks like you have several 2 color mitered squares that are stitched together to me.
I believe this pattern is from Rowan's Classic Weekend (http://www.theknittinggarden.com/ro-magclassicweekend.htm). But, I'm sure you can adapt it from the mitered squares that you are working on by using smaller needles and/or yarn or casting on fewer sts.

That is where I found it! Thank-you so much! I've been all over the internet trying to find where I had gotten that picture from. I can't believe I didn't bookmark it!

it actually looks like the squares are smaller versions of the squares in this free blanket pattern (http://www.knitpicks.com/Projects/Projects_Display_Yarn.aspx?itemid=50393220&yarnid=5420121) from KnitPicks (www.knitpicks.com)
