Did anyone see it yesterday? They had the cutest Corset-T (http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_4920958,00.html) and I'm thinking of giving it a shot. It doesn't look too terribly difficult (I could be wrong of course). I'll probably be here asking questions every 10 minutes. :teehee:

I printed the pattern out and I think after I get my christmas presents knitted up, I'd like to give this one a shot. I live in Texas so you can wear shirts like that almost year round :-P

I also printed it out and am going to give it a try after a get a few of my other projects completed. I tried to buy Annie's book "Confessions of a Knitting Heretic" at Barnes and Noble and Vroman's (a great bookstore in Pasadena, CA) but neither had it, so I ended up ordering it from Amazon, but it takes 5-8 weeks to get it! AAARRRGGGHHH! I guess I can wait! I don't have a choice, do I?!!! She has such great tips and I really like her method of combination knitting. I would love to take a class from her some day ~ dream on! I sure hope she will come to So. Cal. next year!

When any of you get part of the corset done, please post pics! I will too! It looks like a lot of fun and I taped the show so I can refer back to it! Sometimes it really helps to have the visuals along with the instructions!

Heh, I Tivo all the episodes and then transfer the ones I want to keep to video tapes. :D

I'd totally start it now, but I don't have #5 circs. Actually, the only #5's I have are DPN's. And I just don't think that'll work so great.

No, probably not!!! I want to try this after I get my other projects done! I see so many other things I want to do, but I have to restrain myself, and boy, is that hard!!! If anyone else has pics, please post!!!

That looks really cute *drool* There should be a knit-along for the shirt, since so many people are interested in knitting it xxx

How exactly does a knit-along work? Is there a timetable or does everyone just say "Hey, I'm gonna make that" and finish it whenever they finish it?

Ok- there's an abbreviation on this pattern that I don't know... in the section for the armholes- it says "Next row.... Knit 29 (...) sts, sm, K4" What does the SM stand for??

I looked that up, very cute. sm means slip marker.

Thanks :) BTW- this episode is re-airing tomorrow at 4:30 PM EST -- I'm going to get it onto my DVR so I can watch the episode and make more sense of the pattern.

It's a shame that you can't get the DIY channel in Canada. I know that on HGTV a lot of times their programs are from HGTV Canada. Do you have any type of crafting shows on TV there? I know I would greatly miss them if they ever took them off the air.

Nah, we don't have much for crafts on Maratime TV channels..you might see the odd painting on MPBN or quilting...but NO KNITTING...

OH WHY, WHY WHY

:pout:

ROGERS TELEVISION...GRRRRRR.

That's too bad. I guess we are lucky to have so many DIY type of shows on cable tv. They seem to be coming up with new shows all the time.

Sep 11 and 16 are mk's air dates!

I wonder when ContiKnitter Kelly's (I think that's the KHer who is a Knitster) air dates are?

Anyone else started on this? I picked up my yarn today-- I just learned the hard way to put in LOTS of stitch markers to mark repeats when you're working on something on and off over a period of a few hours... I'll put progress pics up in my blog soon. I'm also going to order the other corset pattern that was shown on the show-- I can't wait to get these done!!

I TRIED to start it today, but realized I need size 6 circs. Which I currently do not have.

Guess what? I actually saw someone I know on KG as a knitster! A guy I used to work with was on with his daughter this week. It is kind of strange to see someone you know on television.

I'm hoping to knit the corset t for my sister...LOL, last night I cast on to knit a version for Sally (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/rebeccame/Pets/DSCN1219.jpg)...I am doing this for the Aug kal that I completely forgot about!!! I am trying my hand at combination knitting with it, too..I like combi knitting, after I realized you couldn't do it in the round..duh!
