I'm craving a silk sort of "thick and thin" look yarn ..... in beautiful hand-dyed colors. ;) (or undyed? I guess) Anyone making this? I'd make it myself but I don't know how to spin! :)

Have you tried The Yarn Grove (http://theyarngrove.com) ?

How about this (http://www.patternworks.com/PWShopping/partsview.asp?action=lookup&partno=845&subject=&catpos=)? It's 100% silk yarn that differs in thickness and texture with a variation of colors.

Lorna's Laces has a thick and thin wool that is very soft and the colors are beautiful.

Hmmm. I'll look there. ;) The closest I found was on Etsy but it's undyed so I'll have to figure out? (kool aid??? :) ) how to dye it! :)

FYI: I've heard it's harder to hand dye silk because it take s a LOT more time and patience because the dye doesn't soak into the fibers as well.
