View Full Version : Booga... and help needed!

So I'm making a Booga Bag for my friend. She has been transfered to another Starbucks and I am knitting her a going away present. I was thinking of putting I-cord around the top, bottom and corners and I wanted to use something contrasting, but I'm not sure this natural alpaca looks ok. I like it... but I need input. What do you guys think?

I think that will make a nice contrast.

I like the colours!
My suggestion is: Why not let the colours speak for themselves, I don't think you need any decoration.
Or maybe knit a rectangle for an outside pocket, and the stripes will contrast with the main bag.
Maybe you could choose a solid colour for the handle/strap?

Beautiful colors. I don't think it really needs the cream, but it would go fine if you added it. Check that the cream felts ok, sometimes the lighter colors don't felt as well in wool.. don't know if that's true of alpaca.

Ok, I'm going to do the I-cord edging on it. I've done the top and it looks really nice. Clean. Simple. Amazing how white does that. I'll post pics soon.
