I have six 6 oz. skeins and one 2 oz. skein in autumn red trying to decide what it's gonna be, too. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

Yeah, I wanted to make a poncho from the Yarn Girls Guide to Beyond the Basics with it, but I can't get the gauge right.

Yes, Sabrina JL, determining and adjusting to the right gauge before starting any project is the trickiest task for me too.
I may make a poncho someday with this pattern :
