Oh my, I'd not seen dpns (http://www.jimmybeanswool.com/secure-html/onlinegen/currgen/BlueSkyAlpacas/WoodenDoublePoints.asp) before! I'm now a 2 circ sock knitter, but these 5" dpns are perfect...and, just look at the tins that they come in!
I must say, had my yarn shop had this kind of dpn today when I went in to get the dpns that went along with the prize from my blog scavenger hunt, I would have had to have gotten them!

Sooo expensive, yet I still want them! :inlove: And I haven't even tackled sock knitting yet! Well, I tried once, but that was before I had any dpn experience so it didn't go so hot!

They would be great for knitting fingers on gloves!

Just FYI, Brittany also makes 5" wooden dpns in sock-appropriate sizes (US 0, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and possibly more). They sell for about $7-8 US and are carried by elann.com if you can't get them at your LYS. I have several sets and think they are great!

Brittany dpns are quite nice, got some yesterday, but these are just too cute!
Great design with the tins, whoever is doing their marketing knows how to hook buyers, that's for sure :teehee:

I want them just cause they have the nifty tin to put them in :teehee: maybe I'll ask for a size for Christmas although I think already have every size of dpns... but dh doesn't know this.... and I really want the options so :wall:

I have been using KnitPicks options dpns. I'd much rather have the metal ones, I'm kind of hard on my knitting needles.

Those tins are awesome! I love 5" ones for sock knitting...longer ones make me crazy! If you don't care about the tin, you can ChiaGoos for 4.99/set :)

Those are really nice, especially the packaging. That would have to be a BIG splurge for me.

Those tins are so pretty! Of course, the tins have nothing to do with the needles or how well they work, but they make me want some anyway! :teehee:

Nice! I'd like to have mine organized like that...and I'd like to try 5" ones!

I've found that I don't like any needles longer than 5"... my feet are really narrow and the needles get in the way when knitting socks if I use longer needles. The 5" just "fits" if that makes sense :) Just preference, I suppose

I have all the Brittany dpns in 5" and the Options dpns in sock sizes plus some bryflex, clovers, so I don't need anymore needles, but I sure like those little cases. Too bad you can just buy those.

ebay search (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=unknown&sbrftog=1&from=R10&satitle=pencil+tin+case&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=60615&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&fgtp=)

I have a set of 5" Brittany needles and think they are too short. I much prefer knitting with my 7.5". The 5" ends poke me in the palm, and after a little bit of knitting, my palm is irritated.

The Mod Squad was here...long url

 I agree that these are way too expensive! And I do prefer metal needles. It's what I started with and got used to. I love my sets of double points, they are the cheap metal ones, but the knit just great! xxx

LOL, I just like the cases, myself  I don't even use dpns, but they are just too cute :teehee:
