View Full Version : Did someone post a pic of a yellow crocheted baby blankie..?

It had a white ribbon border. I thought it was gorgeous! I would like to make it for my son's preschool teacher who's expecting a baby next year.

Can anyone link me to it? I'm going to place an order soon for some yarn and would love to include it in my purchase along with the required yarn/ needles etc for this blanket.

Is this the post you're thinking of? (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?p=261131&highlight=liesure+leisure+arts#261131)

Hi Knitqueen,

That's isn't quite the post... someone actually posted a pic of the finished blanket. I remember they said it was alot of work and something about getting paid (fuzzy fuzzy memory).

BUT, that link you sent - the person seemed to have described the exact blanket, so I've saved it nonetheless. If the actual post I'm looking for can't be found, I'll get the book from the link instead.

Thanks for looking for me! :muah:

This is not the pattern, but you might like it... I love how it comes out.

You need a lion brand account (free) to get to this pattern, but it's one of my favorites:

I use a terrycloth type yarn, but I can't remember if it's this:

or something similar-- walmart and michaels have it.

Hi Eloewien,

Thanks for the pattern! That's really lovely too! I'll add it to my favourites as one to consider :happydance:

I know my blanket wasn't the one you were talking about but it is yellow and I did it for a friend who was having a baby (it was a gift though). I got the pattern out of a book of 8 baby blankets...I will have to get the title for you if you are interested (can't remember off the top of my head), but here are the photos of it.

Unfortunately, I photographed this from the wrong side! :wall:

Was it by any chance a blankie similar to the one here? http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall03/PATThoover.html
