I just introduced myself in my other post (re: miniskirt), but I wanted to see if we have any other Canadians on here. I moved to Canada from the US fairly recently, and the city I live in is not that big, so my yarn choices are kind of limited, and I personally find the prices at the local specialty store to be too high most of the time. Are there any Canadian sites where I can order yarn for less, or any US sites that will ship to Canada without charging an arm and a leg for shipping?
Thanks.

I'm in Canada. Honestly, I don't order yarn on-line. The shipping is always an arm and a leg, it's frustrating. Places sometimes have free shipping options if you spend enough $$$, but only to US residents. I've never seen one like that to Canada. :pout:

Another one you could try is www.yarnforward.ca

Knitwerx. I order from them, and they have good deals. They're Canadian, which makes US ordering a wee bit tricky, but as far as I'm concerned they're worth it - and Sylvia is worth her weight in gold. She has a great eye for yarn.

I discovered recently Wool-tyme (http://www.wool-tyme.com/), but didn't order anything from them yet. I know Knitpicks will deliver to Canada but yes, shipping charges are often a bit high. Elann and Yarnforward are the most popular ones I think. Like knitqueen, I find it ends up being simpler just to go to my LYS (which is... 5 minutes away by walk from my place). With taxes, shipping and all, it's always difficult to figure out exactly how much you will pay in the end.
