Worsted is the thickness of `normal' yarn. There's lace, fingering, sport, DK (double kntted), worsted (light worsted is sometimes called DK; heavy worsted is sometimes called aran), aran, bulky and super bulky. Did I leave anything out?

This is a great resource for standard information on yarns, needles, hooks, yarn label information, measurements, and abbreviations.

I find it so helpful that I printed it off and keep it handy! Sixteen pages of great information!

Yeah, that one. I knew someone would come up with a link. There's another that's not a .pdf. I bet someone else will post that one....

PS - How 'bout them Tigers, Denise? Most people think they're going to win, before they even know who they'll be playing against.!

I'm sports-impaired, and even I've been watching games on TV; been to the stadium twice this summer! Go get 'em, Tigers! :cheering:

Hi there,

In the UK it's called double knitting yarn.

Thanks everyone. I printed the link out too.

Gotta love them Tigers. It's about time they made it back on the map. I feel so far away being in Grand Blanc. I miss being in Royal Oak sometimes. Were gonna win!! :happydance:
