I don't post much, but read here ALL the time!!!! I'm knitting the cable and seed stitch jacket in The Baby Knits Book by Debbie Bliss. Other than the pattern being full of errors that I have found the errata for :!!!: , I'm confused with one part of the pattern.

Working 2 sts tog over each cable, bind off 23 sts at the beg of next 2 rows.

What in the world does the working 2 sts tog over each cable mean??? :??

Thanks in advance everyone!!

I think it means that when you bind off... you treat the two stitches above each cable as if it were one stitch.

Well, that makes sense....jeesh......why don't they just write that in the first place?! Thanks everyone!!!!

Another thing...what do all you ladies do with all the corrections to patterns? Do you just try to keep the piece of paper in the book? Or do you (like the obsessive compulsive person I am:roflhard: ) re-type the pattern page with the corrections and tape it in place?

If it's my book, I write them in - I have no qualms about writing in books  . If it's a library or otherwise borrowed book, I just keep scraps of paper, I don't rewrite the pattern.
