I'm not sure how soft that is (I've never made a baby sweater...heck, I barely even know any babies), but it's not itchy at all. :shrug: And people are shocked when I tell them I think Lamb's Pride is itchy. :teehee:

I made a baby sweater for my sister's kid out of swish and my sister was amazed by how soft it was considering it's wool.

Overall, I would say it's very soft. Not chenille soft, but soft. I wouldn't worry about putting my kid in it.

I agree that Lamb's Pride is itchy.....I'm making a sweater out of it now and am disappointed at how harsh it feels.......it's pretty though.
