Thanks ladies. I've heard these are really good books, along with Vol.3 and the Vogue Ultimate knitting book. Do you ladies think its worth owning all 4 for my "Knitting Library" Im trying to start? Im a huge book worm, and I like to have reference-like books on things I like doing.

I just bought vols 1 & 2 myself... they are GREAT. Stitch dictionaries are GREAT things to keep as references. I didnt get #3 because Im not in to colorwork, and I have no experience with Vogue Ultimate Knitting. A less expensive option for a general refernce might be The Knitters Bible (Claire Crompton) or The Knitters' Companion (Vicki Square).

Thanks Kelly. I have thumbed through Vol. 1 & 2 at the yarn store and they look awesome.

P.S-Kelly, I LOVE the little outfit you made for your Chi, its soooo cute! I knitted my ducks (yes, real pet ducks) little sweaters for winter nights so they dont get cold :teehee: I wanted to get a Chi becaus their small and easy to travel with, but the boy doesnt want dogs in the house, with the white carpet and new hardwood floors in all :verysad: I guess I just need more time to bother him with my whining about wanting a dog, I'll win someday

We had pet ducks!!! :cheering: My MIL still has one of them... she's more than 11 years old now.... I never made them sweaters, but we did put a kiddy pool in the backyard and fill it with guppies so they could HUNT. When they were babies, they used to "forage" through my DHs chest hair! :teehee:

OMG, those look exactly like my ducks when they were little!! Their so darn cute when their that size. Its a shame they get full grown in a month. I got my ducks, a boy and a girl, last Easter and they stay in a large chicken wire pen I made them with a kiddie pool and a little house. They LOVE the pool or anything that holds water, including buckets. I throw goldfish in there and let them "hunt" too. Its so funny to watch. At night they sleep in my In-laws garage ( they live right next door). My boyfriends older sister is slow, and those are her babies and she wont leave them outside at night because she doesnt want anything to happen to them. She is so cute with them. She spoils them rotten. She even bought them Halloween costumes to wear while she passes out candy.

We had a very similar setup... we lived next door to my MIL who has a HUGE double-lot which she keeps a little bit overgrown. They LOVED it out there during the day, and at night, they came upstairs with us and lived in one of those BIG airline dog crates. One of them also LOVED to play with our cat! Clyde would peck at the cat's collar tags and the cat kept trying to step "over" her to make her his "girlfriend". He never succeeded.... but it was HYSTERICAL to watch.... they just ended up going around in circles. :roflhard:

The one that still lives with my MIL is in LOVE with my FIL. She follows him everywhere, "bowing" to his shoes, making that "eh-eh-eh" ducky-love noise! :teehee:

That's AWESOME that your BFs DS takes such good care of them... animals do amazing things for people, dont they? Id LOVE to see a pic of their costumes!!
