I'm looking for a written (not charted, dont understand those) five braided cable pattern to use in a scarf for my sis for her x-mas gift. This is a perfect pattern because it's also known as the Celtic princess braid. Thanks for your help.

In my Knitter's Bible by Claire Crompton there are a five-rib braide and a Celtic Cable, with both charted and written directions, on page 110.
