Hi...I have a problem with my very first sweater pattern. I
will be so happy once this thing is finished! haha!!

I have a question on a sweater pattern that reads: Shape armholes:
Bind off 5 stitches, continute in Stockinette until armhole measures 7
inches, place all stitches on stitch holders. " Here is where I am
confused....then it says "Front: Work as for back until armholes
measure 4inches ending w/a purl row." So....After I finish the back
and have all of the stitches on three different stitch holders, do I
break the yarn off and start again therefore making the front or do I use the yarn I made the back w/and somehow work down the front from the shoulders?

When you come to the point on the back piece where you put those stitches on holders, you put that completely aside for the moment.

Take your needles and a new ball of yarn and cast on for the front, starting at the beginning of the instructions and work it exactly as you worked the back piece, including the armhole shaping. Then, instead of working until 7" as you did for the back, you will work only until the armhole measures 4", with your last row worked being a purl row. I imagine there will be some neckline shaping happening next, which is why you would stop at 4" before moving on.
