View Full Version : Two scarves -- one knit, one crochet

Here are a couple of scarves I've finished up recently.

The first is a lacy, crocheted scarf made with about one skein of Patons Lacette. My husband says it reminds him of kelp, and my daughter says its "kind of pretty, but weird."

The second scarf is a Multi-directional Diagonal scarf (http://douma.net/Karen/knitting/Accessory-Scarves/Multidirectional_Diagonal_Scarf.htm) knitted with Diakeito Diadomina. Don't remember which colorway offhand, but I think it was maybe a little prettier in the ball than it is all knitted up. It does have a really nice shimmer though!

Thanks for looking! :)

Those are so pretty! You did a nice job on them!

That multi directional scarf looks a lot like the one from Mag Knits (http://www.magknits.com/warm05/patterns/rib.htm), but not ribbed I guess. I am going to try the Mag Knits one, but if it's a bust I might try this one.

They are pretty. You're pictures are great too. They could be in a book. I really love the white one.

You should knit your DH the "kelp" scarf in green.

Okay, maybe not. I doubt he'd wear something so frilly.

Thanks so much, everyone!

Nikic, my husband and stepdad both used to be into photography quite a bit and have tried to teach me a little. I'd really like to take a class on it, though! :)

Actually, he did!

We're both fighting really nasty bugs over here. I saw him the other night on the couch all bundled up with blankets and wearing it! I guess I had a funny look on my face because he said, "What? It's warm!"
