Hi everyone:

This is a jester hat I knit for my nephew Danny this spring. It's great to be able to make funny and goofy hats that little ones will wear. Once they get older, forget about it! I forget the exact name of the yarn, but it is something light "Light and Lofty", perhaps by Red Heart. I looked for the yarn label, but I can't find it.

I'm making one now called "Sprite" that I got off the magknits free pattern website. I'll post a picture of that when I get it done. I'm using a pretty gray/blue colorway with Encore worsted weight yarn done in moss stitch on size 5 and 7 dpns. It's very easy.

Your pirate hat is adorable! Alden is a cutie! I think it is great and only your first attempt at Fair Isle. Wow! I'm not that brave yet. Maybe some day...

It is going to be almost 90 today! Can you believe it's this warm in November? I wish it would get cooler, although today is a beautiful day.

Thanks Rebecca. I think he's pretty cute, although I am biased, being his auntie and all! The hat was quick and easy to make up. It goes fast being made with a thicker gauge yarn.
