There is one in the Men issue of Knit.1. You might try the library? Or try www.knittingpatterncentral.com

Here's one (http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/kap/kap.html). And here's another. (http://www.thedietdiary.com/knittingfiend/Hats/HKNewsBoy.html) There's also a cabled "headline news" cap in one of the SnB books.

My Mom requested that I knit her a newsboy cap recently and since I didn't care for any of the above patterns, I ended up making my own. I basically made a beret with a short ribbed band, and attached a bill to it.

Thanks for the info. It's for a guy so will ponder this a while!

If it's for a guy, are you sure you don't want a flat cap? Also known as a cabbie hat or an old man hat:

I stole one off my G-pa and wear it all the time.

I can't find anything else, though. Sorry!
