There appear to be several spammer threads in the Buy/Swap/Sell forum (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewforum.php?f=2), that have nothing to do with knitting :fingerwag: .

Good idea. Wonder why I didn't think of that (PM'ing)? :??

I co-own/run a homeschooling website, and have to deal with that kind of stuff all the time, too. We have a built in "bad message alert" feature on our site. It allows the sender to comment what the problem is, and automatically links to the bad thread they're sending it from, and sends it to the Moderator of that forum, as well as the other Administrator and myself. I was looking all over the place (here) for the "bad message alert" icon, then finally opted to just post. PM'ing would've been smarter. DOH!

The Mod's r Gods!
I forgot how many things we don't see, like KK says, because this is seriously the only place I go that doesn't have all that krapola. When one does sneak in i'm totally shocked! LOL
Way to go Mod Squad! :cheering:

It does seem like the buy/sell/swap is one of the main targets for spam! :!!!: :!!!: :!!!: Luckily, it usually is caught quickly.

We have a special Raygun for zapping those suckers! http://bestsmileys.com/shooting1/23.gif

PS. No humans or pets are harmed in the zapping of inappropriate posts. :teehee:

Better there than on the busier forums.

This site really is the best. Because, well, there are too many reason even to list them!
