Hi all.

I've been knitting some dishcloths a la Mason Dixon, and bought some Peaches n' Cream for the project. However, I also have some worsted weight Shine on hand that I could use as well. Thing is, I'm wondering if the Modal in it would inhibit absorption of water/liquid?

Anyone have any experience with this or should I just stick with the cheapo kitchen cotton?

I made one out of Shine, and to my suprise it absorbs water great. The only that you can't do is get that nice scrubbing action that you get with the sugar & cream cotton.

The ones made out of shine also work nicely in the shower. :)

It's been my experience that 100% is the only one that makes for absorbing cloths. I do have some cloths in acrcylic, but those are for scrubbing. They don't absorb water at all. :shrug:

I may be 'old school' but I really just want 100% cotton for my dishcloths.
