I've decided this year that for xmas everyone is getting a knit item. It helps me to destash, and since I want to learn, everyone is getting something a bit different that I've never done before. So for my best friend she gets a scarf made with 2 colors knit together. It's a basic knit stitch, but Im still enjoying the way the colors are coming out together:

The blue may look darker in the picture, it's more of a sky blue made of caron's simply soft yarn with a very soft white i found in my closet :shrug:

Colors are very pretty together. Your friend is lucky to get such a special gift made just for her!

Yea, I really like the double strand knittng. Even though Im using fairly large needles, it is still knitting up pretty tight which I like. And it's going really fast which is a bonus for xmas presents :cheering:
