I bought a bag on sale but now I don't know what to make with it. Help.

I made a great looking cardigan from Vogue Knitting Fall Issue(06.)-- Very Easy Very Vogue I worked it up on larger needles -- 13s if I recall correctly and it worked up fast and looks great! Now all I need to do is block it and put it together.

Best,
Susan

Great question, because I also have some thick-thin hand-spun alpaca that looks decidedly more defective than charming when swatched. Maybe I should try bigger needles... :??

I had some exquisite soft slubby merino, I knitted it into a moss stitch scarf and didn't have any problems with unevenness. However that was probably knitted tightly as I am a tight knitter and used the needle size on the label before I knew that you should compensate for your tension with changed needle size, and I got a fairly firm fabric. Later I used the rest doubled up on larger needles for a hat, it wasn't perfectly even but actually was still great. I'd say try some swatches in different stitches, and using it singly and doubled up.
Good luck
