My birthday isn't for a month, but my wonderful LYS was having a sale... got the Elsebeth Lavold second Viking Knits collection and some Berocco Ultra Alpaca in mahogany mix(?) to make the first pattern. These are amazing!!

I can't wait! I swatched- dead on (for once) and cast on to start the ribbing. I'll have to post a picture soon!
