i haven't tried to purl yet. but im gonna try the english method. beacause it look easier.
will my scarf come out looking funny if i use the english method?,even though ive been knitting continentally this whole time.
i hope not :?

there will be no difference in the result when using the engish method, but I think it might be easier to stick to one method, but that's only my opinion.

English, conti, the stitches are the same in the end.

Several people here use a kind-of-English method for purling because the conti purl is too convoluted. Just go with what feels good for you--as long as the yarn is wrapped properly, it doesn't matter how it got that way ;)

I knit english method all the time and my projects look fine. :teehee:

I knit continental and have to purl english. My stuff looks fine.
