Are all the sweaters in there pretty much pieced and seamed, i.e. not in the round? How many different ones are there compared to

if you have both books. I have the second one, but not the first. I should see if my library has it!

ETA -- they do have it, and it is checked in! :cheering: I'd still like opinions though!

I've borrowed both books from the library. The sweater book has mostly seamed sweaters, except, I think, for a couple (raglan and yoke). If you want seamless, I'd go with Knitting from the Top by Barbara Walker. You'll have to do a little math (unlike the Budd book), but she presents a seamless way of doing pretty much any type of sweater you want, top-down, in the round. I think the other Budd book just has one sweater in it, that's seamed. One nice thing about the Budd sweater book is that she gives yarn estimates based on gauge and size, though.

You must have a newer version. The original (1972, I think) has lots of cheesey photos. Lots of bright colors, gaudy patterns, and very strange poses. If you can get your hands on a copy, you'd probably get a good chuckle out of it.

This is the 1996 version. Maybe I should be glad instead. ;)

Is it out of print? Even used goes for $19.00 on Amazon.

I believe it's currently in print -- I want to say it's being published by Schoolhouse Press. I don't think it's been updated since the edition you have, though.
