I finished a vest that is a little fitted, but the bottom of the side seams
flares out a little. I need to take in about 3/4" a the very bottom and
taper in about 3" up. Does anyone know a way to do that? Please help

Here's a recent post (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?p=307912&highlight=triple+mattress#307912) on the same topic. I don't know what the OP ended up doing, though. If you have a sewing machine, here's (http://www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/357)another option.

Thanks for the info. I think I'd like to try that triple mattress stitch but I'd
like to see a video on it.
Has anyone found a video for triple mattress stitch? :P

If you read Evelynne's post, triple mattress stitch is not a single procedure, per se, but involves doing mattress stitch along more than one seam. So you'd just need to learn how to do mattress stitch and do it several times. I believe Amy has a video.
