I will soon be teaching some moms at the local Waldorf School how to knit. Unfortunately, I'll be leaving town for two weeks shortly after the class(es). I would like to give them a list of great internet sites to go to for instructions and simple patterns.

Of course KnittingHelp will be first on the list. What other great sites can you recommend to go on the list. These could include places to buy yarn, although we do have JoAnn's, Michaels, and two different LYSs in town.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

Here's some stitch patterns with pictures. (http://www.knittingonthenet.com/stitches.htm) (These are the ones that used to be on about.com.) Other stuff on that site too.

More videos. (http://www.knittingatknoon.com/demos.html)

Yardage estimates (http://www.fiber2yarn.com/info/how_much_yarn.htm) for basic projects.

KPC (http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory.php)for loads of free patterns.

Knitty (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/index.html) for patterns and lots of good articles.

Yarn reviews, etc. (http://knittersreview.com/)

Eh, I could go on, but that's probably a good start. ;)
