anyone know a good place to get these reasonably priced? I found this place (http://www.namemaker.com/) and the prices are good, but i dont' love any of the designs. i am not up for making my own, i know people do that, i am too lazy. :)
thanks!

I ordered mine from www.charmwoven.com. They had several styles for knitting and crocheting.

Have you tried a yarn store? I saw some in one in my area last week. I "googled" made by labels once and found some but would have had to buy something like 100 so decided to pass! Good luck with your search. /tillie

We (my mother and I) are currently trying to figure out a way to label some items we want to send to my G-ma who lives in a nursing home. Her things need to be labeled or they get "lost"
I just finished knitting her a beautiful wrap but can't figure out how to label it.
You could try this (http://www.grumperina.com/labelcontent.htm).
I like this idea! Something I can do myself and customize it how I want.

OMG, I was just thinking about asking this question last night. I was talking to my friend, and she said that usually a local fabric store, like Hancocks, will have them.

Iron-on transfers on satin ribbon--what a creative idea!!! I've used iron-on transfers before, but I did it on regular cotton fabric, then I had to sew up all the ends, etc. to make a nice looking label. This you could cut the ends with a pair of pinking shears, put on some "Fray Check" (http://www.dritz.com/brands/showcase/details.php?ITEM_NUM=1674), and you're good to go! Thanks for posting this idea! :muah:

I ordered business cards from a free business card site where I put my name on it and "Washing Instructions on Reverse" on the front...then I can put any details I want the recipient to see.
It doesn't attach to the garment, but I'm just throwing out other options :teehee:
