We have only seen flakes here.. and lately been having temps in high 50s and 60s.. we are cooler today but they say warm back up and looks like rain for us... I don't want a heavy or bad snow but I would like to see some white flakes on Christmas Eve/Day...

We haven't seen more than a dusting of that--our temps have been in the 50's.

I'm in Rio Rancho which is north of Albuquerque (they run into eachother). And we're supposed to get more tonight and tomorrow-my ds loves it and wants to make a snowman. I told him that he and dh could make one tomorrow and he said "lets go to Wal Mart and buy one" then I had to try to explain to him that we cannot buy a snow man. kids say the darndest things.

Holy mother of downed powerlines! As beautiful as that is, every winter power outage i have ever seen looked that beautiful before it happened. that it doesn't happen for you.

That being said :verysad: i want snow!!!!! preferably friday after midnight though...(i will be off the road by then! :teehee:)

 mom was telling dad she wanted snow Sunday night but then stop and clear for us to make it home.. then it can snow but not the snow like above where we lose power.. just enough for the kids to enjoy.. but then it has to stop for them to go home... mom said dad looked at her and said.. boy your not asking for much are you? I don't think she is.. kinda what I'm hoping for too :teehee:

I am so jealous!!! I am dying for some snow. I am in Ohio and we have had almost nothing so far. It has been in the 50's/60's here too. Just doesn't feel like Christmas :pout:

How pretty! It's hot here and humid and just plain gross. I went to the mall today to get into the holiday spirit but it's kind of hard when you're wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Blech! :pout:

I'm so jealous! We live in Wisconsin where it is supposed to snow and be white for Christmas and we are going to get rain and freezing rain this week. Yuk! It may be cold, but it sure is beautiful!

I just measured our snow in the back yard and we're at 5"!!! My son wants to build a snowman so bad. btw it just quit, been snowing lightly since 10:30 this am. I'll gladly share the snow but we do need it. This was a 'wet' year for us and we just made over our annual precip. Scary when it's this dry.

Put what you got into Las Cruces and there would be reallllll trouble! My dh's hometown is Las Cruces and I am from South Bend, IN so it was culture shock going to his home for Christmas the first year we were married. God smiled on me though, as Las Cruces got 2 inches of snow and we almost didn't get out of there with just two inches!!!

I can't say I miss the snow any longer. I am too old and achy I guess!!!

What gives eh? up here in Canada... and not a flake anywhere to be seen. How is Santa going to Land his sleigh without snow????

jberry :roflhard: at buying the snowman!

We love the snow. Good thing.. we just had a doosy of a snowfall. Unfortunately this one was much wetter than normal and we lost power, phones, the works. It snowed for 2 days. At one point we had 2 feet come down in 7 hours.

So glad you stayed warm and lit up!

Oooh, that's beautiful! Here I am in New England, 5 days before Christmas, and we don't have a flake. It's almost like October outside, and it doesn't feel like Christmas yet at all! Oh well, I'm driving to VT on Friday, so I'll appreciate the good weather, but really, can't we have just a little snow for Christmas? :verysad:

You have to keep that comment for when he has a fiancee! :teehee:

We're in Minnesota, where it's been in the high 40s, and ZERO snow to speak of. That system is to hit us with rain tomorrow, and maybe some slush.

I'm a wee bit jealous! I miss the time it snowed here (the first time in 100 years!) It's still around the late 70s, and 80s here. It feels like fall. The leaves are FINALLY falling off the trees.

Can you blow some of that snow east towards Oklahoma?!

Today my dh and ds made a snowman, keep in mind the eyes are grapes, the nose is a #2 pencil, the mouth is WOTA chain crochet and the arms are scraps from the inside roll cage of my dh drag car, and the legs are springs from the drag car.

Brendajos, I'm ready for a nor'easter, as long as it doesn't happen while I'm on the way to Ithaca on Monday! Western NY is seriously in a snow drought!
Mind you though, come February, I'll be wishing for this mild weather we're having. :teehee:
