i caught it by chance. i actually didn't know i could watch knitty gritty because i dont' have the DIY channel... but i have HGTV and it was there so i watched. =)

everything seemed so rushed and fast-paced... the show should be an hour long.

:cheering: Yay, I'm glad to hear that some of you watched it! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Vicky Howell was fantastic to work with. I'm so glad it's finally aired!!

By the way, I DID put up my anklet purse pattern this morning, it's in the store!

I just watched Knitty Gritty for the first time this morning, and that's what brought me to this site and this forum. I'm a new knitter, and will post an intro in the proper forum.

I recognized someone here already; I know her from a quilter's forum -- isn't it a small world after all?

Great Show, Amy!

For us guy knitters, how about sizing the thigh-high pocket to fit over the calf? I have a commercial rubber and elastic "security wallet" like that. BUT, your knitted one will be neater and a lot more comfortable too.

Hey, that over the calf idea would be great. i remember my wedding garter always slipping down to my knee... stupid curvey legs... :roflhard:
I'm at work and frankly, haven't used my VCR in soooooo long that I didn't set it to record. Don't even know where the blank tapes are anymore. blast. Hopefully I catch it again!
But congrats on being a star!!1 :cheering:

I wish they would put episodes on iTunes or Amazon or some other website for purchase. I hate that I keep missing these great shows!

eta: Amy's headband is the Featured Pattern of the Day (http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_5188405,00.html) on Knitting Pattern Central (http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com). I thought that was cool. Plus, now I will probably make that headband for this lady who works at the store where I have my knitting group, she asked me to design one and now i don't have to!

For those that want a copy- I caught it on my DVR and have the capability to burn copies to DVD. I will check on how much DVDs & shipping will be and I could always burn copies. Probably about $4-5, but i'm not really sure. PM me if you're interested.

Amy!! I just got done watching your episode, and I have to tell you that it's the best one I've seen in a long time. You are a natural to be on TV, my dear, and I think you ought to have your own show! ;-) Congratulations!!

p.s. I was at a local arboretum earlier this week & saw a couple of books about Tasha Tudor, and I thought about you! :muah:

Glad you got to watch it Dustinac! Thanks Conti and Hildie!

Awww, .Julie, thanks!! :muah: Ooh, were they books about Tasha Tudor's garden?

Landolphe, that's a great idea to size it for the calf. I also think it would work well for an upper-arm bocket piece, for mp3 player holder, cell, etc.

I haven't enjoyed this much attention in ... gosh, since my wedding! :aww: Thanks friends!

Yes, they were, and she looks like the sweetest little old lady I've ever seen! How old is she now? I'm assuming she's still living, right? :shifty:

I saw that one, too, Joy. It seems as though it took a couple of weeks off of DIY and now it's going back and forth. At least now more people are able to see it!

YES! Tasha is still alive and still working. She is in her early 90's. She has a website but can't remember it right now but a google search of her name will get you there.
