Awesome! How long have you been knitting? I haven't tried fair-isle yet, but maybe someday I will tackle it.

I started knitting in December 2005. What can I say, when the little one takes a long nap, you can really knit! :happydance:

I've been wanting to try fair-isle. Does anyone know of a free scarf pattern? Btw, that hat is really cute! :muah:

I love that hat pattern....it is so groovy. I'm thinking about doing one in a self striping or variegated yarn and a solid yarn. Could look pretty cool.

ooooohhhh....I LOVE that hat but am so afriad of it!!! Fair Isle kind of scares me...I've never tried it. I was a little scared of it it too- but it went so fast, and I really liked it. First time I read a chart, too. :roflhard:

As with almost everything I do, I think I tried fair isle before I could to garter. I always jump into things and get way over my head. But like everything else, one stitch at a time, it isn't too bad.

However, the whole doing it in 3 hours is the part that made me go :noway:

I hate you. Okay, not really, but I am really envious.

I have been working on that very hat for 3 days. And trust me, it did not look like that. I finally frogged mine yesterday after realizing that knitting in the round, fair isle and double strand were just too much for me to handle in one project. And I am not doing something right, because it was just getting tighter and tighter and I couldn't really knit anymore...on, like the 4th row of pattern. (the loose yarn on the inside of the hat kept tightening...I need to correct that!).

Your hat is beautiful. And I could just puke that you were able to do that in 3 hours.

Love the colors of your hat! I just finished two of those "Center Square" hats and am on my third. Great first color work project.
