I'm in agreement with everyone who has replied...WOW! I can't not imagine how long that took, but I am sure it will be loved and enjoyed!
my middle daughter says "OOOHHH mom, its a Gypsy Belt"
I said 'no, its a knitted scarf"
she relies with "No mom, its a Gypsy scarf, see you would tie it around your waist there, its not JSUT a scarf"
TRUST ME
this is a complement

Thank you to all of you for your lovely words of encouragement.
Actually, I think, no, I am going to frog it back and get rid of the yellow stuff. I knew as soon as the hank was wound that it was not right. But, I kept hoping that it would work. I don't mind the experiment because I learned a lot about color.
Charlotte's Web is a Koigu pattern that is a quite forgiving (easy) lace pattern. I highly recommend it, even as a first lace attempt--it's that easy. I have a few tips in case anyone is inspired to tackle her.
The pattern calls for 5 different yarns that are blended from top to bottom. I didn't use Koigu yarn because I like to support my LYS and she doesn't carry it (it's a hard yarn for shops to get). Anyway any lace type yarn is perfect for the project.
