(not Shine Twist), just the regular Twist (http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/itemid_5420120/yarn_display). I am looking for a DK yarn with a sort of tweedy effect, and so far Twist in Cotton Candy comes closet to the the color I am looking for (a light lilac). Have also looked at Rowan Felted Tweed and Elisabeth Lavold Silky Wool but neither of those carries the shade I'm looking for.

I'd love to know if anyone has tried Twist and, if so, what you thought of it. It isn't exactly the tweedy yarn I was looking for, but I think it might give a similar effect.

I've used Twist before to make a shawl (http://www.knitpicks.com/Projects/itemid_50354220/projects_display) for my mom. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, but my mom loved the shawl so it's okay by me. I found the yarn not soft at all, and it was very splitty. Normally I've loooved all KP yarns, but I wouldn't recommend this yarn personally.

Hey, thanks for telling me your experience. I read someone else's bad experience on a blog I found through a google search, too. So I'm not gonna risk it (esp. b/c it seems on the expensive side for so little yardage - in fact, it is significantly more expensive than some of the "higher end" yarns I've been looking at from Rowan and Elisabeth Lavold). Thanks for letting me know!
