Well I managed to get 10 balls of Life yarn at joanns for .75 a peice so I figured it was time to try a real article of clothing, a sweater vest. I chose Boogie (http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring04/PATTboogie.html) because it seemed simple enough and it called for bulky yarn, which is what I had. It was really fun knitting it up and learning how to cable and seam and block and all that but man I think it is so hideous and I'd never wear such an item in public! Never! I'm so shamed to be seen in it I had my husband wear it for the pictures. Doesn't he just look so excited? :teehee: Well, enjoy. If anyone wants it or just wants to unravel it for yarn you can have it!!

You are a cruel, cruel, woman.

Interrupting your hubby's gaming like that...sheesh.

'Course...my DH would have to be distracted with something if I was making him model a piece of knitwear.

aww you guys are too kind, really. Yeah I am a pretty mean wife, I do stuff like this to him all the time. But really, as long as his video games are on (He's playing Game Cube's Metroid Prime 2 in these pictures) I can do pretty much whatever I want, or say whatever I want, lol.

Maybe I'll give the vest another try, if perhaps I can shrink it? It's 47% wool, is that too low of animal content to try and shrink it? It just doesn't have any shape so it's not too flattering on me. Makes me look like a box.

Funny though, all the measurements came out right like they were suppose to (I was surprised because I made a really half hearted guage swatch) and yet it almost fits my husband whom is much larger than me. This yarn sure stretches and gives a lot!

Personally, I find anything I knit in a chunky wool makes me look...

I think it looks great too--If you aren't s chunky sweater wearer it'll certainly take you by surprise to see yourself in something chunky! LOL!

It's funny...when I was in high school I loved chunky sweaters ...I was also about 30 pounds lighter....you think that might have something to do w/ it?

It would look really cute with a little white long sleeved tshirt underneath. I am not much for mixing the red and black you hubby has on (lol) but I think it is lovely!

Ha I think it's cool. I love how happy your dearly beloved looks in it.

If you're serious about letting someone have it to unravel even, could I maybe Pm you and we could talk? I'm always up for some free yarn *blatantly a bum* :roflhard:
