I heard that when you felt the booga bags in your washer, you can severely damage the motor due to the lint that can escape, even from a zippered pillowcase or a tied pillowcase.

Has anyone had this trouble, and can I felt my bag by hand?

i've felted quite a few things - always in a zippered pillowcase - and never had a problem...
