Does anyone know what M1k means? Is it a bar inc. or a kll or krl or maybe kb or kf or does it even matter? The pattern I'm doing doesn't specify it just says M1k. Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of M1k. :?? The problem with those instructions is it doesn't say whether to pick up from the front or back and whether to knit into the front or back.

Here's Amy's instructions.

M1K make one knitwise by picking up loop that lies between stitch just worked and following stitch, and knitting into back of it.

M1P make one purlwise by picking up loop that lies between stitch just worked and following stitch, and purling into back of it.

If you google "m1k" + knitting, you get lots of results, some patterns say to M1k using increase of your choice, so i guess you just want to add a knit stitch in there, however you prefer really....

Thanks for the help. :muah: I looked at the Berocco instructions in fact it's for their Kiltie pattern. I guess I do a kb inc. I really like some of the Berocco patterns but I wish they'd be a little more specific. Thanks again.
